Why Free Books Matter to Centuria Books
Free books are not an afterthought for Centuria Books. They are part of how we thank readers, introduce new authors, and keep discovery accessible.
Each year we give away thousands of books through reader promotions, launch offers, list rewards, and direct campaigns. The goal is simple: reduce friction between curious readers and new stories.
A healthy reading ecosystem needs both paid support and generous access. We intend to keep using both.
What is actually free, and where
- A full free story per author line. Each of our pen names offers a complete reader-magnet story, delivered through BookFunnel to any e-reader or app. Start at the Reader Club.
- First chapters, free and unlocked. Many book pages carry a first-chapter excerpt you can read without signing up for anything.
- Advance copies before release. Our Review Team gets finished books free ahead of publication. A review is hoped for and never owed — and when one comes, we want the honest one, good, bad, or mixed.
- Our market data. Market Watch publishes free genre-fiction analysis twice a month, no signup.
Why we give away finished work
A free story is the only honest sample. Blurbs and covers sell a promise; a whole book shows whether we keep it. If our writing is not for you, we would rather you find that out at no cost than after a purchase — and if it is, you already know exactly what you are buying next.
We do not sell reader data, and joining a list only ever means new-release news you can leave at any time. What we collect and why is in our Privacy Policy.
