Heaven Sent an Inquisitor, So I Saved Her Soul: Full Spoiler Guide
A gold spear comes through the roof of Old Bell and stops an inch above Trevor’s face. UNAUTHORIZED FOUNDER: COME HOME. A World Event called Founder Recall puts a white stair on Crown Road, and at the top of it a cathedral city hangs upside down in the sky. Junia Serrat steps onto the stair by choice. Trevor and his four women follow her up. This is Book 2 of the Mercy Route of Jax A. River’s Angel Queen: a heroic harem LitRPG raid through a city that runs on its dead, built around a healer-tank who keeps refusing the efficient play.
What it is
Forty-two chapters. Trevor climbs from Level 20 to Level 40 and from two wings to four. The Cathedral of the First Note is powered by soul engines: more than 8,192 numbered drawers in the wall, seven mills beneath the streets. Its master is the Sovereign Core, which wants Trevor as its successor. Its method is to keep every memory he has and replace the mind that uses them.
The fights are raid design. A gate made of six living hostages. A saint automaton with 314 people wired in as joints, every one of whom has to come out before it can be broken. Seven bells on a countdown. A leviathan entered through the mouth. Four Wing Hosts at 200,000 HP that must die on one beat.
Who will love it
Readers who want raid mechanics where the win condition is saving the adds. Readers of harem LitRPG who want the women to carry phases: the tank who names the act and who bears its cost, the healer who keeps wounds as evidence, the rogue the map cannot hold, the bard who rewrites hostile verbs. Readers who can take a real loss at the end of a middle book.
Tropes
- Angel isekai; male-identified lead in a female body; four-wing evolution
- Harem with four girlfriends who know about each other
- Rescue-the-hostages raid design; hold-the-line set pieces
- Enemy inquisitor turned ally; perfect copies defeated by a real regret
- Heroic sacrifice the lead is not allowed to share
- Middle-book cliffhanger; a resurrection quest set up
Heat
Site heat level: Open door. Two scenes: Petra in chapter 6, who climbs into his lap in a bathhouse and says so, and Adina in chapter 23, the more explicit of the two. Both women start it. With Damaris and Naomi there are kisses only in this book, and one proposal on a tower: “Marry me after the boss.”
Content notes
The on-page death of a main love interest and the grief after; living people built into machines; corpses numbered and sewn; souls milled for power; possession; threats of mind replacement; chained hostages; explicit sex; crude jokes and profanity.
Full plot, with spoilers
At the gate a flawless copy of Junia declares his body stolen. He frees all six hostages in the living lock and loses the gate to her as the price. A dead voice in the wall knows about his mother’s cracked blue mug: the engine has been reading Earth through his open Crown. At a corpse levy he saves 417 name-books over the bodies, and a dead soldier called Number 4419 sits up and says two words to Damaris: Iron Orchard.
Heaven cut that memory out of her when it promoted her. She had ordered twenty-one dead named and returned, and Heaven fed them to the grave rail. Worse, her soul was keyed long ago as a recoverable part of the engine. Junia offers to give her the memory back in exchange for Trevor’s Crown. Damaris refuses, wins a solo class quest, and later beats a perfect “sanctioned” copy of herself by admitting what the copy cannot predict: she accepted a burial count of fourteen when she knew there were twenty-one.
Trevor seals a river gate with his own body on her order (“hold the river with your ass”). They stop the first mill without milling anyone: 3,006 souls saved. He refuses to drink them as potions. They kill Bell One using Petra’s knife as its clapper, cut Bell Two out of Naomi’s chest room by room, and beat the census by flooding it with names, nicknames and spelling arguments. Inside the leviathan’s heart he finds the sentence that kills a founder: a judgment-class soul must hold it for one beat, and that soul’s body is deleted. Damaris registers as the only valid interceptor. He promises her the choice will be hers.
A successor mirror copies him perfectly and fails when the four women each name something true about him that will not merge with the others. The System’s note: memory is a save file, and identity is what you do after loading it.
The ending (spoiler)
Junia cuts her own owner field and leads eleven thousand civilians out. The Core’s war body climbs out at Level 44 with nine million HP. On the towers Trevor beats Junia, gets an EXECUTE prompt, and shields his party instead. Then every substitute for the Founder Judgment fails: Trevor, a freed soul, his shields, Junia. Damaris takes the slot, closes his Burden Share link, says “This one is mine,” and walks in. Her armour, her braid and her scars come away. Zero HP. Her party slot is deleted, and the party leaves it empty.
Alone inside the Core at 20 HP, Trevor hits Decline All on the potions and witnesses 3,006 private exits. The boss drops to 1. Heaven’s last chain forces Junia to strike at him; he knots the chain with Damaris’s flail, Junia drops her sword and catches it again so the swing is hers, and her one point of damage kills the Core. He reaches Level 40 as Archangel of Open Grace and breaks her chain without taking it. The city lands 87 percent intact. Each woman holds a witness key toward Damaris’s recovery, and his own quest line reads: permit her to refuse. A white gate opens overhead. Heaven is invading.

Reader Questions
Who dies in Heaven Sent an Inquisitor, So I Saved Her Soul?
Damaris Pike, in chapter 38. She takes the Founder Judgment by her own choice and closes Trevor’s share link so he cannot split the cost. Her return is the quest of Book 3.
How is the 9,000,000 HP boss killed?
Trevor refuses to drink 3,006 souls as health potions and witnesses each soul’s own exit instead. They withdraw the HP the boss built from them, leaving it at 1. Junia lands the last point of damage as a free act.
Does Junia join the party?
Yes, at the very end, as a Free Inquisitor with no Choir link. There is no romance with her in this book.
