Lady Heartswell: Complete Author Guide

Lady Heartswell is Centuria’s romance pen, and the widest shelf in the house: fifty titles from closed-door sweet romance to explicit dark romance, across MMF hockey triads, Irish mafia and stalker novellas, romantasy, paranormal and sci-fi romance, LitRPG romance, medical, sports and workplace contemporaries, later-life love and cozy monster novellas. What holds it together is a single rule: consent is shown, not announced — a “yellow” stops a scene mid-motion, a permitted territory is named aloud, and the happy ending is a document the heroine can enforce.

The house style

Close third person, one or two POVs, competence as the love language. Heroines are archivists, nurses, veterinarians, audio engineers, streamers, geologists, provenance reviewers — and the plot depends on the job. Heroes are large, dangerous and made to ask. Possessive-alpha behaviour is written and then critiqued on the page; grovels are paid in escrow, deeds, public corrections and restitution capped at verified loss. Dark titles keep the moral hazard real — body counts, captivity, engineered ruin — and keep the bedroom clean, with red/yellow/green set before the first scene. Sweet titles are genuinely closed door.

Who will love this shelf

Readers of why-choose and MMF romance who want the M/M relationship real and on the page; dark romance readers who want obsession named as harm and then negotiated; romantasy readers who want a bond interrogated rather than assumed; and sweet romance readers who want later-life, second-chance and hidden-royal stories without a bait-and-switch. Use the heat notes below; each title’s level was set from a full read of the book.

Heat, read carefully

The site uses six heat levels: Sweet, Warm, Steamy, Open door, Explicit and Dark. Lady Heartswell has titles at every one. Do not judge by subtitle: the Sweet Spice Romance Collection and Somewhere Under a Texas Sky are explicit, while the first two Fated Mates books fade to black. Each book guide states the level and then says exactly what is on the page.

Dark MMF and why-choose

  • Man Advantage 1–9 — nine standalone MMF hockey romances: an established gay couple, one exception, a rescued kitten, a household agreement drafted by lawyers. Explicit and frequent; Book 9 is open door. Books: 1 (second edition), 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9.
  • Both of Them, Only Her — the MMF hockey template before the series: a foster-care graduate, a married couple, a stalker, a snowed-in finale. Explicit.
  • Between Ice and Iron — MFM dark romantic suspense: a fixer, a hockey enforcer who deals, an MC president, and a villain with her surname. Explicit.
  • The Third Ascension — dark MMF LitRPG romance: dungeon-spire delving, relationship stats as a mechanic, a two-man build with a corpse-shaped hole. Fade to black, six scenes.

Dark mafia, stalker and suspense

  • Shards of the Infinite — four standalone novellas, one heroine’s name: Irish mob kingpin, vigilante, watcher, billionaire captor. Explicit (Book 2 moderate); every ending is a contract.
  • Crowned by Chaos — an archivist, a syndicate chief who was once a pit fighter, a city conspiracy called the Sovereign Court, and a negotiation that opens “I came to discuss sex.” Explicit.
  • Blood Oath of the Cartel — vampire cartel romance short: a coven Enforcer, a cartel boss, feeding as negotiation, a treaty sealed by a wedding. Explicit.
  • The Quiet Son — Bratva romance: the night the old Pakhan dies, a fourteen-month extraction on a flash drive, and the dead heir reading her pulse. Explicit and frequent, eleven scenes.
  • The Patient Knife — a Lyon compliance architect, an INTERPOL red notice in thirty-five minutes, and Diego Mor. Explicit, control exchanged in writing. Shares a world with:
  • The Quiet Operator — Colt Hargrove walks into a sealed summit negotiation with an independent uplink and pushes a revoked analyst’s cascade model to four delegations. Maritime-security romantic suspense. Explicit.
  • The Original Between Us — a provenance reviewer returns to the museum that fired her, with unedited authority over the finding. Art-world high-heat romance. Explicit.

Contemporary: sports, medicine, work

  • The Season He Chose Her — a thirty-seven-year-old lighting designer, a forty-year-old point guard with no trade veto, her brother on the rival team. Explicit.
  • Fast Enough to Stay — endurance-racing romance: a race engineer who can read a failing car, the prudent stop that cost a championship, and the driver who let the lie stand.
  • The Surgeon Who Stayed — alpha-surgeon medical romance: a nurse defibrillates a child’s heart with her bare hands in an elevator. Explicit and frequent.
  • The Last Strong Man — a federal mine inspector converts an audit into an incident examination on the spot; a crew boss and cold seepage. Explicit.
  • Somewhere Under a Texas Sky — a Paris chef, an assault in an alley, a stranger in cowboy boots who stays to give a statement. Explicit, two scenes.
  • Sundown Reach — Tender in the Dust (ranch veterinary romance) and The Cowboy Who Never Strayed (already-married romance, a flood, an influencer). Open door, moderate.

  • Werewolves Billionairely — shifter billionaire workplace romance: a merger analyst, a 347-year-old alpha, five executive mates, and a charter she makes him sign before she will wear his seal. Explicit.
  • Fated Mates — Celestial Entanglement, Entangled Fates, Soul Constellation: rival astrophysicists, a psychic bond born from a dead twin, a pod farm, an ancient order. Closed door to explicit across the trilogy.
  • Shattered Orbit — sci-fi romance shorts: a chief engineer sealed into a reactor sector takes a plasma cutter to the locking pins. Explicit.
